Genetic Counselling

myDNA offer genetic counselling teleconsults for discussion of the APOE and HFE DNA test results obtained through the myDNA Comprehensive Health Report or Genetic Methylation Check. The APOE and HFE test results are explained and the potential impacts on the individual and their families is outlined. If there are any expected effects on the persons health from the results of the tests the counsellor will explain them and list next steps the individual can do to minimise or prevent the condition occurring. A summary report will be provided following the session.

Please note this consult is not intended to provide a broad interpretation of the myDNA/ Genetic Methylation Check test results and the scope of the consult is limited to the APOE and HFE test results. The genetic counselling session can take up to 1 hour in duration. Sessions are available Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings (AEST). Please note that changes/ cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance, or the session will be fully payable, and another consult must be booked.
