  • From $399 for a 96-food screen
  • 12-15 days to get your results

How food intolerance testing works

A simple sample measures your IgG and IgA antibody responses across a defined panel of foods. The results map how your body responds to each food, helping you and your health professional build a personalised elimination and reintroduction plan.

Choose the marker that suits you:

  • IgG — the most popular marker, for delayed-type food responses. The right default if you're unsure.
  • IgA — looks at mucosal (gut-lining) antibody responses, often chosen alongside IgG.
  • IgG + IgA combination — both antibody types in one order, for the fullest picture.
  • IgG4 General Foods (new) — an IgG4 subclass option, available across our 96, 144 and 240 food panels.

Good to know Food intolerance testing measures IgG and IgA antibody responses. It is different from IgE allergy testing and does not diagnose a food allergy or coeliac disease. Results are best used as a guide alongside advice from a qualified health professional — book a nutrition teleconsult if you'd like help interpreting yours. If you have a known severe allergy, speak to your doctor.

Every panel also includes a Candida albicans screen. Prices shown are per test in AUD and include lab fees. Results are typically ready in 12–15 days.

Choosing your panel

Should I choose the 96, 144 or 240? All our panels use the same testing method and give the same quality of result — breadth doesn't change accuracy, it changes how much of your diet is covered. So choose on your diet, not on the number.

  • Eat a broadly Western diet and want a focused, affordable place to begin? Start with the General 96.
  • Eat widely — lots of seafood, nuts, tropical fruit, herbs and spices? The Super Food 144 captures more of your plate.
  • Want the widest possible coverage, or tried elimination diets without clear answers? The Complete 240 is our broadest screen.
  • Diet built around rice, soy and Asian staples? See the Asian 96.
  • Plant-forward or vegetarian? See the Vegetarian 96.

Still not sure? The General 96 suits most people starting out — you can always retest at a broader level later, or talk to a practitioner who can help you choose.

A larger panel is not more accurate — it covers more of what you actually eat. Starting out? The General 96 is the more practical first step.

Complete Food Panel — 240

Our broadest food assessment — 240 foods for people who want the widest possible coverage. Typically chosen by those who have already trialled elimination diets without clear answers, people with very varied or specialty diets, and clients working with a practitioner who wants the fullest possible dataset.

Asian Panel — 96

If your everyday diet is built around rice, soy, tropical fruits and Asian staples, a general Western panel may not reflect what you actually eat. This 96-food panel keeps the core dairy, grain and vegetable staples but broadens the tropical fruit range — jackfruit, persimmon, mango, cantaloupe, cherry, date and watermelon — along with a wider rice and soy profile and the spices common to Asian cooking.

Vegetarian Panel — 96

Plant-forward diets lean heavily on grains, legumes, nuts and vegetables — the very foods a general panel covers only in part. This 96-food panel widens that coverage while still screening dairy and egg for vegetarians who include them.

It also retains a number of fish and meat markers. That's deliberate: they support flexitarians and help identify cross-reactivity between plant and animal proteins. Simply disregard results for foods you don't eat.

Common questions

Should I choose the 96, 144 or 240 panel? The 96 covers everyday Western staples and suits most people starting out. The 144 adds a wider fish, nut, fruit and spice range. The 240 is our broadest screen. Breadth doesn't change accuracy — it changes how much of your diet is covered, so choose on your diet, not the number. See the full comparison above.

Which marker should I choose — IgG, IgA, IgG+IgA or IgG4? IgG is our most popular marker and the right default if you're unsure — it measures delayed-type responses. IgA looks at gut-lining responses, the IgG + IgA combination covers both, and IgG4 is a specific subclass.

Is this a food allergy test? No. This measures IgG/IgA antibody responses for food intolerance. It's different from IgE allergy testing and doesn't diagnose a food allergy or coeliac disease. If you have a known severe allergy, speak to your doctor.

What do I do with my results? Use them as a structured starting point for an elimination and reintroduction plan — best worked through with a qualified practitioner. Your results include a Personal Rotation Diet Guideline, and you can book a nutrition teleconsult for tailored advice.

Can I do this at home? Yes — it's a finger-prick blood spot kit posted to you, with no need to visit a collection centre. If you'd prefer a blood draw, add the venous blood draw service.
